The starting and final destination of this tour is the city of Sarajevo.

 Day 1 – Sarajevo Arrival

Upon arrival in Sarajevo, you will be greeted by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel. After checking in and settling down, you can take some time to rest and recover from your journey or explore the surroundings on your own. Overnight in Sarajevo.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will have a full day tour of Sarajevo, the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina! Explore the Old Town, renowned with its Ottoman-era architecture and old marketplaces. Highlights of the day include the historic Baščaršija Square, the Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque, the Latin Bridge – where on 28 June 1914, Gavrilo Princip assassinated Franz Ferdinand, the heir presumptive to the Austro-Hungarian throne. This event was the immediate cause for the beginning of the First World War. Whether in summer or winter, Sarajevo remains a magical city, where the East and West meet. Accompanied by our local guide, you’ll see the real life of locals, savor Bosnian cuisine, and witness a captivating demonstration at a hammered copper workshop by a skilled artist.  For those passionate about Bosnian cuisine, there is an opportunity to participate in cooking classes after the tour. No visit to Sarajevo is complete without trying the renowned Bosnian ‘ćevapi’ – kebab, served with traditional bread, somun, and onions. Bon appétit! Later, we will visit the Sarajevo Tunnel Museum, recounting the story of the city’s siege during the Bosnian War. Following the sightseeing, you will be transferred back to your hotel, where you can enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure. Overnight in Sarajevo.

After breakfast, you will depart from Sarajevo and journey towards Mostar, experiencing one of Europe’s most beautiful roads. Through the trip, the captivating sight of the emerald-green Neretva River, renowned as the coldest in Europe, will accompany you. Explore Herzegovina, a   unique region with scenic landscapes, Mediterranean fruits, whose symbols are water and the sun. Mostar, known as the Pearl of Herzegovina, is a city with cobblestone streets, ancient stone buildings, and the iconic Old Bridge, representing a history of more than 500 years Upon arrival in Mostar, your itinerary will include visits to the renowned Old Bridge, the Old Bazaar, and the historic mosques and Turkish houses in Mostar’s Old Town. Continuing the journey, we’ll head to Blagaj, where we will visit the impressive Blagaj Tekke – a Dervish monastery situated beside the crystal-clear Buna River. This place is known as “a place where you will find peace of mind”. Regardless of your religion, here, you can experience a moment of peace through meditation or prayer. Listen to old legends about the mysterious tekke in the stone, beneath which the source of the river flows. You also have the option to take a boat ride to the water source itself, located within the cave.

 

Our lunch will be served in this captivating setting, surrounded by the beauty of the Buna River and stone surroundings. After that, we are going to visit – Trebinje, known as the “City of the Sun” for its favorable geographical location and sunny weather, is located in the valley of the river Trebišnjica, surrounded by impressive mountains. After check-in, you’ll have free time to explore the city. Overnight stay in Trebinje.

   

After breakfast in amazing Trebinje, you’ll journey towards our next destination – Montenegro! We will arrive in Kotor, a city resembling an open-air museum. Kotor is a dramatic town where the present coexists with medieval churches, cathedrals, Venetian palaces, and pillars. The city is a tapestry of contrasts – old squares with modern cafes, serenades and live music, echoes of footsteps in narrow cobblestone alleys, and balconies adorned with wrought iron railings and petunias. Your first experience will be a boat ride along the shores of Kotor. A boat tour is a fun and exciting way to explore a new place, providing insights into the history and culture of the area. Our journey includes a stop at the Lady of the Rock island, famous for its 15th-century Church of Our Lady of the Rocks, which is free to visit. The island also houses a museum with maritime artifacts and paintings, providing an opportunity for amazing photos and an unforgettable experience.

 

Following lunch in one of the oldest local restaurants, you’ll have the freedom to explore this Montenegrin gem on your own. In the afternoon, our journey continues to Dubrovnik, where you’ll check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.

The renowned city of Dubrovnik, often referred to as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic,’ awaits us as our next destination. Dubrovnik’s cultural heritage is awe-inspiring, featuring Renaissance and Gothic palaces, churches standing side by side, a polished Stradun (the main street), ornate squares with exquisite fountains and towers – all embraced by defense ramparts constructed between the 12th and 17th centuries. A popular activity is walking along these historic walls, offering spectacular views of the harbor and the beautiful city itself, making them an iconic feature of Dubrovnik.

 Following a walking tour led by a local guide, you’ll have some free time to explore the UNESCO-listed Old Town and experience the cable car. This cable car ride takes you up to Mount Srd hill, providing breathtaking views. At its summit, you’ll find a large white stone cross and Fort Imperial, a defensive structure built by the French in 1810 during the Napoleonic Wars. Dubrovnik is also renowned for its association with Game of Thrones. After a lunch with an amazing view, you’ll spend the entire day exploring the charms of Dubrovnik. Overnight stay in Dubrovnik.

 

After breakfast, we say goodbye to this amazing city and head towards Split. On our way to Split, we’ll make stops to experience the genuine local life of the area and try some original Mediterranean specialties. On our way to Split you’ll enjoy in the stunning sea views. Upon our arrival in Split, a walking tour with our local guide awaits. Located along the stunning Dalmatian coast, Split is celebrated for its rich history, picturesque landscapes, and dinamic urban atmosphere. From its ancient Roman roots to its idyllic beaches, Split caters to every type of traveler. As the heart of Central Dalmatia, Split stands as a unique case, evolving around Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, now recognized as one of Croatia’s 10 UNESCO monuments. Originally founded as a Greek colony in the 3rd century B.C., it later became a significant Roman city. Following the tour, we’ll have a lunch featuring traditional Dalmatian dishes, including seafood specialties, peka (slow-cooked meat and vegetables), and pašticada (a hearty beef stew). Post-lunch, you’ll have free time to explore Split at your own pace and take a stroll along Riva. This beloved gathering spot for both locals and tourists offers stunning views of the Adriatic Sea, lined with cafes, restaurants, and charming shops. Overnight stay in Split.

After breakfast at Split we are heading to Bosnia and Herzegovina again.   First stop will be – amazing Kravice waterfall. The Kravica waterfall is a pearl of the Herzegovinian landscape, located on the Trebizat River, 7 km away from Ljubuski. It is a unique natural beauty built by the Trebizat River flowing through limestone terrains and depositing tufa.The river Trebizat is rich in numerous waterfalls, clear water, greenery of willows, poplars, apple trees and other vegetation and an abundance of trout and other fish species. This breathtaking natural attraction with cascading waterfalls is surrounded by lush greenery. Its height is about 25 meters and the radius of the lake in the base of the waterfall is 120 meters.  During the summer period, you can swim in the water amphitheater under the waterfall and enjoy water sports, or rent a boat to see the waterfalls up close. After that we will have a lunch and a tour in Počitelj. Počitelj represents one of the few urban ensembles in Bosnia and Herzegovina that were preserved in their integrity to the present times . . Architecturally, the stone-constructed parts of the town are a fortified complex, in which two stages of evolution are evident: medieval, and Ottoman. The stepped Ottoman-era fortress village of Počitelj is one of the most picture-perfect architectural ensembles in the country. Cupped in a steep rocky amphitheater, it’s a warren of stairways climbing between ramshackle stone-roofed houses and pomegranate bushes. After that we are heading to city of Konjic, our last spot before we arrive in Sarajevo. Here we will visit The Museum of Woodcarving. The museum provides an opportunity to get to know the life and work of Konjic’s woodcarvers, the tools and techniques they have used and are using, and the ability of this craft to survive several wars and prove that it is worth preserving. The art of woodcarving is a centuries-old tradition in the city of Konjic, which has reached world recognition. After we arrive in Sarajevo and do check in at the hotel, you’ll have a free time and overnight in Sarajevo.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have some free time to do any last-minute souvenir shopping or explore more of Sarajevo before checking out of your hotel. You will have a transfer to the airport, marking the end of this amazing tour.
