Welcome to an unforgettable journey through the Balkans, a region rich in history, culture and natural beauty.

The starting and final destination of this tour is the city of Zagreb.

In addition to visiting three Balkan countries in just eight days, you will get to know our traditions, tastes and the atmosphere of the Balkans. Try authentic dishes, socialize with the locals and discover cities like Skopje, Ohrid, Budva, Dubrovnik, Sarajevo, Zagreb and many others.

Did you know?

  • That catacombs built around 1400, in Jajce are an underground church (crypt), carved into the living rock, within the walls of the Jajce fortress. By its architecture, it slightly resembles a church. Hrvoje Vukcic, a Grand Duke of Bosnia, , ordered the carving of the catacombs, now a historic monument.
  • That near the town of Visoko in Bosnia and Herzegovina there is a complex of pyramids, known as the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun. This is a controversial location that attracts the attention of researchers and archaeologists
  • That the Balkans is known for its delicious food. Burek, a bread roll with meat or cheese, and ćevapi, small meat kebabs, are favorite meals throughout the region.
  • Old Beidge in Mostar  has one of the most unique designs in the world. The Old Bridge, Stari Most, with emerald river Neretva, at night provides a magical view.
  • Trogir is a city full of churches,  palaces and other historical buildings that are a mixture of Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles, and have been incredibly well preserved over the years. Walking through the narrow streets is like going back in time
  •  Zadar is the city with the largest number of monuments in Croatia
  •  Zadar is located in the very heart of the Adriatic and is three hundred years old and full of historical and cultural sights
  • What Zadar especially emphasizes is “the most beautiful sunset in the world.”
  • The sundial in the town of Travnik, it is not known when or who built it, but at the time when there were no digital clocks, it served the entire bazaar.
  • The only town in BiH with two clock towers and one of the most interesting attractions of Travnik is the tourist train named after the popular Ćiro,  which makes it easier to tour the town and its sights.

Tour itinerary

Upon arrival in Zagreb, you will be met by your tour guide who will assist you with the transfer to your hotel. After checking in and freshening up, you will have the rest of the day at your leisure to rest up. Overnight in hotel in Zagreb.

After breakfast, you will have a guided tour of Zagreb city, exploring the historical and cultural highlights of this vibrant city. You will visit the historic Upper Town, with its medieval architecture, including the iconic Zagreb Cathedral, St. Mark’s Church, and the Lotrščak Tower. You will also see the lively Dolac Market, the Ban Jelačić Square, and the Croatian National Theatre.

Afterward, you will depart Zagreb and head towards Lonjsko Polje, a picturesque nature park known for its marshes, meadows, and traditional wooden houses. You will have the opportunity to take a boat ride along the Sava River and observe the diverse flora and fauna of this unique wetland area.

Continuing your journey, you will proceed to Jajce, a charming town famous for its stunning waterfall located in the city center. You will also visit the medieval fortress of Jajce, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding area. In the evening, you will check into your hotel in Jajce, dinner and overnight in hotel in Jajce.

After breakfast, you will depart Jajce and drive to Travnik, a town with a rich history and cultural heritage. You will visit the Old Town area, including the medieval fortress and the colorful houses lining the riverbanks. You will also see the beautiful Plava Voda Spring and the unique Ottoman-style architecture of the Travnik Mosque.

Next, you will continue your journey to Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Upon arrival, you will have a guided tour of Sarajevo, a city known for its diverse cultural influences and historical significance. You will visit the famous Baščaršija, the old bazaar and market, and see landmarks such as the Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque, the Sebilj fountain, and the Latin Bridge, where the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand took place, sparking the events of World War I.

At afternoon, we will have a dinner in a traditional restaurant. Later, we will transfer to the hotel. Overnight in hotel in Sarajevo.

After breakfast, you will depart Sarajevo and drive to Mostar, a city renowned for its iconic Old Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will explore the Old Town of Mostar, with its narrow cobbled streets, traditional Ottoman-style houses, and vibrant markets. You will also visit the historic Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, offering panoramic views of the city.

Afterward, you will continue your journey towards Dubrovnik, a picturesque coastal city in Croatia. Upon arrival, you will have a guided tour of Dubrovnik’s famous Old Town, surrounded by ancient city walls. You will visit landmarks such as the Stradun, the Rector’s Palace, the Cathedral, and the Franciscan Monastery with its beautiful pharmacy.

In the evening, you will check into your hotel, dinner and overnight in hotel in Dubrovnik.

After breakfast, you will depart Dubrovnik and drive to Montenegro to visit the stunning Bay of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will explore the medieval town of Kotor, known for its well-preserved architecture, winding streets, and impressive city walls. You will visit landmarks such as St. Tryphon Cathedral, the Maritime Museum, and the Castle of San Giovanni, which offers panoramic views of the bay. Next, you will proceed to Tivat, a coastal town known for its beautiful beaches and marinas.

In the evening, you will return to Dubrovnik, dinner and overnight in hotel in Dubrovnik.

After breakfast, you will depart Dubrovnik and drive along the scenic Dalmatian coast to Split, the second- largest city in Croatia. Upon arrival, you will get ready for a guided tour of Split’s historic center, including the UNESCO-listed Diocletian’s Palace, a Roman emperor’s palace turned into a vibrant living part of the city. You will also visit the Cathedral of St. Domnius, the Peristyle, and the Temple of Jupiter.

Afterward, you will continue your journey to Trogir, a charming coastal town known for its medieval architecture and historic sites. You will explore the UNESCO-listed Old Town, with its well-preserved Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance buildings, including the Trogir Cathedral and the Kamerlengo Fortress.

In the evening, you will check into your hotel, dinner and overnight in hotel in Trogir.

After breakfast, you will depart Trogir and drive to Vransko Jezero, the largest natural lake in Croatia, known for its rich biodiversity and picturesque landscapes. You will take a boat ride on the lake, observing the diverse flora and fauna, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Next, you will continue to Zadar, a historic coastal city known for its Roman ruins, medieval churches, and unique Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun installations. You will explore the Old Town, visiting landmarks such as the Roman Forum, the St. Donatus Church, and the Cathedral of St. Anastasia.

Afterward, you will head to Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its cascading waterfalls, turquoise lakes, and lush forests. You will take a guided tour of the park, walking along the wooden trails, and admiring the breathtaking natural beauty of the park.

In the evening, you will check into your hotel near Plitvice Lakes, dinner and overnight in the hotel.

After breakfast, you will depart to Zagreb Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your tour.
