Tour itinerary
Departure of the group in front of the Vijećnica or another location according to the passengers’ preferences.
Amidst the aroma of Sarajevo’s somun bread and Bosnian coffee, we will walk through the bazaar of this city. Here, you can buy a souvenir or enjoy a morning coffee. Along the promenade, we will see a mosque, synagogue, Catholic and Orthodox churches, giving us a glimpse into why this city is called the European Jerusalem. We will also visit the site where the First World War began.
For many people of Sarajevo, this place symbolizes the war. The tunnel extended beneath the airport and served for the distribution of food and weapons. Preserved during the war, it now offers the opportunity to feel its significance for survival.
The most popular destination for a nature walk in Sarajevo is Vrelo Bosne. Here, we have numerous hiking trails surrounded by forests, meadows, small streams, and waterfalls. The main attraction is the source of the Bosna River. Vrelo Bosne also has a romantic legend about the eternal spring of love, enriching the visitor’s experience. For many people, Vrelo Bosne is an escape from everyday stress and worries, offering a sense of harmony with nature and inner peace.
An excursion to the mountain is always a good idea, and Trebević offers hospitality establishments, marked nature trails, a bobsled track (a symbol of the 1984 Olympic Games), an adrenaline park, and large playgrounds for children, all just an 8-minute cable car ride from Vijećnica.
